2014 Hertz Penske Mustang Gt Specs
This 2014 Ford Mustang Hertz Penske GT is the fourth of 150 produced, and one of ten that were built with a six-speed manual transmission. The car shows 3,500 miles and resided in Florida and Washington before coming to Tennessee with the selling dealer. Power is provided by a 5.0-liter Coyote V8, and Hertz Penske features include a GT500 rear spoiler, a Ford Racing splitter and rear valance, Ford Racing suspension components, a unique stripe package, the Laguna Seca gauge package, and more detailed in the listing. This Mustang is now offered by the selling dealer in Tennessee at no reserve with the window sticker, the Hertz Penske invoice, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Washington title.
In celebration of their historical "Rent-a-Racer" offerings, Hertz collaborated with Team Penske to produce a special model for their "Adrenaline" rental collection. The cars were finished in black and delivered to Penske without the factory rear spoiler and graphics. Penske added a GT500 rear spoiler, a Ford Racing front splitter and rear valance, quad-outlet Ford Racing exhaust finishers, a stripe package, and Penske Racing fender badges.
Factory 19″ wheels are mounted with Pirelli PZero tires and Ford Racing center caps. The car is equipped with the optional Brembo brake package, and the Hertz Penske modifications included Ford Racing springs, shocks, and sway bars.
The cabin is equipped with manually adjustable Recaro sport seats trimmed in black leather. A placard on the center console denotes this car as #004 of 150 built. Sync infotainment, dual-zone climate control, variable-color ambient lighting, and a Shaker audio system were fitted from the factory, and Hertz Penske features include illuminated sill plates, branded floor mats, and Hertz-specific GPS programming.
Factory instrumentation consists of a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and fuel level and coolant temperature gauges. The Hertz Penske modifications added a Laguna Seca gauge package atop the dash, which includes a laptimer, an oil pressure gauge, and a calibrated temperature gauge. Approximately 3,500 miles are shown on the digital odometer, 250 of which were added by the seller.
The 5.0-liter Coyote V8 was factory rated at 420 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque, and the Hertz Penske package added a Ford Racing cold air intake and ignition coil covers. A maintenance inspection was performed by a Ford dealer in April 2020.
The first ten Hertz Penske GTs were built with six-speed manual gearboxes and were only offered to Hertz executives. The remaining 140 received automatic transmissions. S197 Mustangs were the last built with live rear axles, and this example is equipped with a 3.55:1 limited-slip differential. An additional photo of the underside is provided in the image gallery.
Two copies of the Ford window sticker are included and show the factory equipment, colors, and $40,775 retail price. An additional invoice details the changes included in the Hertz Penske GT package, totaling $6,424.
The accident-free Carfax report shows registration in Florida through 2017, and last updates in Washington in April 2019.
